Hello all!
I had to research myself how to get into the blog.......not attach the picture, but how to get INTO the blog. I really didn't think I was THAT slow, but I AM another year older, you know.
Well, the Substitute Sisters are back and excited to be here! All summer I was going to make cards ahead and have the kits ready, etc., but.....we didn't have a summer, did we? I don't remember having one, so obviously I have NO kits ahead! That sounds familiar, doesn't it?
See you all tomorrow! I hope you're looking forward to it as much as we are!

April 1, 2015 Class
Hey everyone! It's card making time again!! No foolin'!! Ha!
This may be our last class until October. Laura is back from being a "you-know-what-bird" (a dirty four-letter word these days) and is pretty sure that she will start teaching on April 15th. It's been a great time and we've had a lot of fun! It is bittersweet giving the class back, but at the same time, we are ready. I'm going to begin thinking about my Christmas cards in May and begin the actual making of my cards in June or July. I have always waited until the last minute because of doing the class and working full time until last year. I started in July and was pretty much finished in November. Drove my hubby crazy! This past year, though, I made the cards and he stamped the sentiments on the inside and addressed the envelopes. We are pretty good as a team and even though he wouldn't admit it, I think he actually had fun doing it. One small step for Denny, one giant leap for Mary Jo! I want to make up other cards, too, like birthday, sympathy, etc. to have on hand when I need them and I can't do that trying to make cards for class. I don't multi-task like I used to. Too many aging brain cells.
Anyway, we are giving you a couple choices in your cards this time. I have posted them all. The first three cards are Karen's and I must say that she outdid herself this time with her Easter card. I know that I am prejudiced, but I think she did one heck of a job! Way to go, Sister!!
Ya'll come back and see us from time to time, ya hea? We will probably be posting our (personal) creations. Showin' off again! ;-) I have just had a revelation.............I enjoy journaling on this blog. I could go on and on and on, as I think you have noticed. I apologize if you feel that I ramble. I know that I do. Kind of goes with the territory, I'm afraid. I had better stop now before I erase every word I have written. Maybe I should. Nah.

Card #2 for March 4, 2015 Class
I'm making progress....it is only 12:28 a.m. And I will be going to bed VERY soon!
Here is the last of my cards. I didn't stop at Karen's to get her cards to scan. Sorry, ladies. I had some running to do right after work and by the time I left the last place, I was ready for home and dinner. Not to mention I still had this card to do yet. At least I knew what I wanted to do. I hope you like the cards this week.
Hugs, Mary Jo

March 4, 2015 class
Hey! Believe it or not, I got one of my cards finished and scanned! Am I good, or what? Or what, I know. 😉
Here is the first card. I hope you like it. There are a lot of little pieces and parts to it, but it goes together fast! Sorry it's crooked in the picture, but I think you can get the gist of it. Until card #2, blessings to you.

Hello all:
Happy New Year!! Here we are in the year 2015! Did you EVER think that you would be around to see that number? I never imagined seeing it. Do you remember the song "(In the Year) 2525"? Scary to think how close that song actually comes! WOW!
I hope that everyone had a great Christmas. Other than getting sick, our Christmas wasn't too bad. We had my side of the family over Christmas Eve and it was a good time. Lots of good food, lots of laughter and time for reflection as well. Our sister, Lynn, said to me one day that "the holidays aren't the same anymore and they never will be. They aren't as fun as they used to be." We have lost our parents (except for Karen's father-in-law, Jack, who was here as well), Lynn and Karen have lost their husbands and the family is getting smaller and smaller it seems. We have to remember, though, that we still have each other, we have our health and we need to live in the present and appreciate who and what we still have. One day we will see our loved ones again, and what a Glorious day that will be!! Hallelujah!!
Sorry. I didn't mean to do a sermon. I guess maybe I should open a new blog so that I can "reflect" on things such as this. I get carried away. :)
As usual I am the one behind on getting my cards done for class. I apologize for that, as some of you would like to see them before class. My bad. I kept telling myself that this year it would be different. Guess what? In my own defense, though, I have been sick (physically, thank you). I got sick Christmas night and had it for about 8-10 days. What a drag! Sore throat, exhausted, so I slept -- A LOT! Colds are no fun. Anyway, I am able to sit up and take nourishment now, so I guess I will be among the living for a while.
Anyway, I hope that you like the cards and will be in class. I know that it is going to be really, really cold, but I hope to see you there anyway. I'm willing to go if someone is willing to be there!
