The Substitute Sisters are Karen Payne and me, Mary Jo Isch.  We decided that the blog was aptly named since we are the substitute instructors for Laura when she and her husband become "snowbirds" in October and the fact that we are sisters.

Feel free to check out our cards.  We will probably post cards even when we aren't doing the class.  I would hate to set this up to only use it just six months out of the year!

Thank you for taking a look.  This is our first try at this, so we may have some goofy stuff at first.

This is the first thing that I wrote about us.  I couldn't find it at first, but after "playing" around, I found it.  Duh!  See I told you, we might have goofy stuff at first!

"Substitute Sisters is an appropriate name for Karen and me. We take the card-making classes over while Laura Speelman "plays at being a snowbird" in Florida six months out of the year.  Of course Karen and I get the cold months, but I guess that's why the term "Snowbird" came about.   We will get our chance someday, Sister.

We are also known as "The Sisters" by those that don't know us very well.   I was going to say that we are affectionately known as The Sisters, but sometimes we really aren't sure how affectionately some view us.  Only kidding, of course.

We are hopefully going to post the cards that will be made in class and hope that they don't make you decide  not  to come to class.  We are always open to suggestions be they what to make in class and/or a different way that you would have done a card.

Needless to say Karen is not here helping me write this.  I hope that she will write on it, too.

We are looking forward to seeing you all in class, hope that we can make cards that you will want to make and that will make you want to return.   Most of all, we want to make Laura proud and glad that she chose us to take over for her........or should I say "substitute" for her.

Bye for now, Mary Jo"
